Indians Stadium

The abandoned Indians Stadium on 16th street has surely seen better days. Built in the 30s, the last Art Deco facade is still impressive sight. The baseball diamond is not a U-pull junkyard with a few Cash for Clunkers cars scattered around, even though they were supposed to all be totally junked. The stadium went from baseball to car racing, ending at the sad twilight years as an arena of midget go-kart racing. Last time I was there we met some local guys stealing gas out of the cars' tanks by piercing them with a hammer and holding the jerrycan underneath.
