Gareth and I went to the old Indian's stadium with the pyrotechnic gear. They are removing the seats now, so we had a step-like surface to work with, creating some cascading sparks on the ground. I also used the portrait lens to capture some soft shots, where the streaks of fire seem blurred and softened at f/1.4 with a ND 0.6 filter. Despite the fireworks, no one came to kick us our or arrest us.
That's really cool. How did you create the sparks? I'm guessing something like a sparkler on a string???
ReplyDeleteI tried something like this a year ago but i was only writing my name with a flashlight, http://davewirth.blogspot.com/2011/01/snow-at-night.html
